CayMAS is more than just a carnival—it’s a vibrant explosion of culture, music, and revelry in one of the most breathtaking destinations in the Caribbean. If you’ve ever dreamt of experiencing a carnival that blends luxury with high-energy road vibes, CayMAS is for you! Whether you’re a seasoned masquerader or a first-timer, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know about CayMAS 2025.
When is CayMAS?
CayMAS 2025 takes place from Saturday, June 28, to Monday, July 7, 2025. The highlight of the experience is Parade Day on June 28, where masqueraders take to the streets in stunning costumes, dancing to pulsating soca beats. But there’s so much more to enjoy—exclusive parties, beach limes, and unforgettable moments under the Caribbean sun.
Key Dates for Cayman Carnival
To date other key dates are still pending for CayMas 2025. However, you can expect the Junior & Teen parade on June 28th. The adult parade is set to take place on Saturday, July 5th. The Grand Parade steals the spotlight. The streets of George Town come alive with dazzling costumes, infectious music, and nonstop dancing. The celebration doesn’t end there—Sunday is reserved for recovery and beachside fetes, the perfect setting to unwind, soak in the sun, and relive the memories made on the road.
Based on previous years, you can look out for the following:
Mukky Jouvert – Kalabbra Entertainment
“Tied Up” Boat Flex – Swanky Events
After Mas
Hard Fete – Renegade Mas
Soca Monarch Final
Getting to CayMas 2025
Getting to the Cayman Islands is straightforward, with Owen Roberts International Airport (GCM) in Grand Cayman serving as the main gateway. Direct flights from cities like Miami, New York, and Dallas make the journey convenient, while regional travelers can take advantage of Cayman Airways’ connections throughout the Caribbean.
Getting Around the Cayman Islands
There is an abundance of taxi drivers in the Cayman Islands. I recommend you obtain a business card from your driver and keep it for future rides. The front desk can also facilitate reliable transportation if you are staying in a hotel.
Note: International visitors are not allowed to rent cars.
Where to Stay

The US dollar is a little weak to the Cayman dollar, but you can still find reasonable accommodations for your next stay. Ironically, hotel prices are cheaper in the summer. I strongly recommend you stay near seven mile beach (West Bay). Some recommended places include:
- Kimpton Seafire Resort – My favorite!
- The Westin Grand Cayman 7 Mile Beach
- Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman
- Holiday Inn Resort – significantly cheaper, but away from 7 mile beach.
Play Mas in the Cayman Islands

In 2023 and 2024, I spent under USD 1000 on a frontline costume, significantly cheaper than playing at most major Carnival events in the United States and abroad. If you are looking for a budget-friendly jump with a beautiful beach view, the Carnival in the Cayman Islands is for you. The following bands (hyperlinks included) are listed in alphabetical order:
**Note of Transparency: The bands should have announced their theme and launched costumes by now. Exercise good judgment on your attendance this year.
- Ascend Mas
- Dream Karnival
- Kallabra
- Party Animals
- Renegade Mas
- Revel Unit
- Swanky International
- Wristband – I played with them in 2023 and 2024.
See the Cayman Islands
According to US News, the Cayman Islands is one of the top 10 islands you should consider visiting. I strongly recommend arriving several days before the parade day to take in all the Cayman Islands has to offer.
The island country is noted to have some of the most scenic beaches to rest and play. The Cayman Islands is also well known for its dive sites. If you want to play it safe, there are plenty of tours to Stingray City, where you get to feed and cuddle a stingray! Other activities include:
Enjoy Cayman Carnival!
I want to emphasize again that the details surrounding this event are extremely late, which should naturally encourage you to be very judicious with your participation this year. And if this knocks CayMas off your radar, you should STILL go see this beautiful island.
However, the Cayman Islands is stunning. CayMAS is an experience unlike any other, blending the best of carnival with the natural beauty and warm hospitality of the Cayman Islands. Early preparation is the key to securing the best flights, hotels, and costumes.
If you’ve been to CayMAS before, share your favorite memories in the comments! And if you’re planning your first trip, prepare for an unforgettable journey into the heart of Caribbean carnival culture. There’s no better time to start planning—CayMAS awaits!
